My Thoughts:
Story Line:
The story was very interesting. I am so use to seeing dramas that are more related to the Disney princesses like Cinderella. This one actually is a modern take of Empress Zhong Wu Yen. At first, I found the story quite dull but as I kept watching I got more invested in it. I felt so bad for how Wu Yen was being treated. I cried out for her cause the things people do out of spite are so wrong. Qi Xuan did realize his error in judgement quickly after. This moment is what developed their love story. I kind of don't like Qi Xuan but his character does mature as the story progressed. I still like Howard more. He was always honest and never judged Wu Yen. He was blind and fell in love with her before even knowing what she looked like, but that just means that he truly loves her for her. This little love triangle that Howard was a part of was sadly a loosing battle since the start.

Towards the end, though, I got disinterested in the story again. It went back to being dull. The main focus was Zhong Wu Yen and then halfway into it. The main focus became Qi Xuan. I just didn't like the way it was going. There were so many subplots that were coinciding together that you couldn't just focus on a few of them. I guess that's what it was but the point of the matter is that I lost interest. The only reason I kept watching toward the end was to find out what happened to Howard.

Cast:
The cast was good. I like the chemistry between all of them. They all seem to work very well together. I just wished that Wu Kang Ren would get the girl. I only saw him in Autumn's Concerto before and he was a supporting role there too.

Music:
I like the music. It was nice. Not my favorite, but it went well with the drama. The opening was well put together. It was artistic and set the mood well.

Overall I would rate this drama with a 2/5.
