Pleasantly Surprised (Episode 10)

English Title: Pleasantly Surprised / Love Myself or You?

Recap of Episode 10:

It took ten episodes but I am glad Ah Jie finally figured out that his feelings for Du Kai Qi are to be more than friends. It's weird that it took a little fantasy for him to realize it. He should have known that he loved her because he went above and beyond to make her happy. He serenaded her, made puppets of them, and made up some ridiculous dance with Xiao Yi. I was laughing when his heart started pounding the moment he saw Du Kai Qi. Then, when she had some saffron flour by her lip he could not even touch her to help her out. His hand was shaking so much that Da Zhi had to turn around and help her. Which makes Ah Jie very defensive and a bit mad. How cute. :)

I just wonder how the little love triangles are going to go. Du Kai Qi has Cheng Hao Wei and Ah Jie going after her. While Cheng Le Xuan is going after Ah Jie. I am glad that Cheng Hao Wei and Du Kai Qi have cleared their little misunderstanding. They both apologized and decided to start off as friends again. She was also going to pay off her father's debt by treating Hao Wei to lunch for an indefinite amount of time. Their first lunch together was like a great first date and she kept smiling for the rest of the day because of it. She also admitted to Ah Jie that if they had cleared up the issue between them earlier on, they would have more than likely been together. Poor Ah Jie. This of course is going to be making him super jealous but maybe happy since he can let Cheng Hao Wei take care of Du Kai Qi if he decides to leave.

I am growing more and more curious about Da Zhi's back story. All we know is that he was a gangster and went to jail. Based on his personality, it does not add up to his character. He seems like a really nice guy and very serious about his work. How could he have ever been involved in anything bad? I wonder if it all has something to do with that Japanese chick. Maybe she is the reason he ended up in jail. He is very protective of her so maybe he fought some gangsters and got mistaken for one. I don't like that chick. Something about her just seems off to me. I hope she stays away from Da Zhi.

Looking at the preview, Da Zhi helping her is going to bring trouble to everyone at the restaurant. Da Zhi should have listened to Linda and stayed away. I am anticipating the scene with Du Kai Qi telling Ah Jie to stay or take her with him! AH! Could that possibly be a love confession? I am so excited for this. Maybe they will start dating in episode 12. :) That is if Cheng Le Xuan's confession doesn't get in the way of them being together. She is so bold in telling Ah Jie she likes him and needs to straighten out his feeling for Du Kai Qi.
