English Title: Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo
Country: Japan
Network: Fuji TV
Aired: March 29 - July 19, 2013
Episodes: 16

Main Cast:
Miki Honoka (未来穂香) ... Aihara Kotoko
Furukawa Yuki (古川雄輝) ... Irie Naoki
Yamada Yuki (山田裕貴) ... Ikezawa Kinnosuke

Quick Synopsis:
A shooting star crashed into Aihara Kotoko's home, leaving her and her father homeless. So, they moved in to the Irie family home since they are old friend's of Kotoko's father. Now, Kotoko will be living under the same roof as Irie Naoki, the boy she has been in love with for years.

My Thoughts:
Story Line:
I love the story line since it is based on the manga that I like so much. However, a little shooting star is able to demolish an entire house? Seriously?! NO. Other than that it did stay close to the plot of the manga.

I have always liked this story and which the manga was finished but unfortunately the manga artist passed away. The drama did get to their college years which was good to see. It was a nice drama on it own but when comparing it to the other version that I have seen, it was not good enough. The one constant though is I really liked the mother's constant interference. She is my favorite character.

Cast:
The fact that this drama is dealing with teenagers who are about to go to college, I was surprised that they selected a young looking group of actors. The worst selection in my opinion was casting Miki Honoka as Kotoko because she is sixteen and cannot pass as someone who is a senior in high school. I am sorry but I did not buy it. Also knowing Kotoko's character, I feel like just because she is young doesn't mean she was a great fit to take her role. Also, this made it more difficult for me to see any chemistry between her and Furukawa Yuki. I was shocked when I found out he is 26. He is older than I am! He looks way younger than I do. Now, my frustrations with him besides the fact that he looks young for the role is that he looks way too serious playing Naoki. The scenes where he should have let his guard down and express his feeling for Kotoko has no ounce of love in it. The only person that I felt was right for his role was Yamada Yuki. He is at a college age and can pull of being a teenager in high school. He was very good at acting like a sick puppy in love.

Music:
The melodies were nice but didn't pay much attention to it.

Overall I would rate this drama with a 1/5.
