Quick Synopsis:
Du Kai Qi strongly believes there is no good men out there. She lives happily as a single woman, aspiring sous chef, and comic book lover. The only man she has ever admired has been Master Chef Louis. When she gets a bit closer to achieving her dream of being the sous chef of her restaurant, out of nowhere comes Ah Jie, the new intern. He gets in the way by becoming the judge of the competition. Little does she know that this rookie chef is in fact the master chef she admires so much.
My Thoughts:
Story Line:
The story line is decent. I do not find it to be such a romantic story but at least it can be quite believable. It does not follow the typical damsel in distress scenario like most do. It is more about how love can grow from an existing friendship. There are quite a few love triangles going on but we all know who ends up with who anyway. Unless there is going to be some changes later on. Oh and the food that is being shown looks delicious. I wish I could cook but I am someone that would probably burn down a kitchen if I try to do what they do.
Cast:
I have been a fan of Puff Kuo since I saw her in the drama Miss Rose. She is a very good actress but often times seems to play these serious type roles. I want to see her take on other varying roles in the future. Jasper Liu is an actor that I have not seen anywhere else. He looks pretty young to me and can't believe he is actually older than me by two years. I have been impressed by his acting but he is not the best that I have seen. However, I will keep an eye out for other dramas he is in.
Music:
The music is nice and catchy. I like it a lot. The theme song is a cute little tune. It kind of gives off this feeling of wanting to fall in love. The instrumental pieces also go well for it being about French cuisine.
Overall I would rate this drama with a 3/5.
