Quick Synopsis:
Based on a true story.
Yamaguchi Hayato is diagnosed with a rare and incurable disease known as Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. CIDP causes numbness that occurs on the tips of both hands and feet causing sensory malfunction and motor disturbance. He is ready to give up all hope until his daughter Myuu gives him a reason to live.

My Thoughts:
Story Line:
This is a wonderful drama that showcases what a family is truly about. Hayato knows the inevitable will happen, he will die from this disease so why not just give up. It makes sense to feel that way but thanks to his family, he didn't give up so easily. Myu is only two years old and sees what her father is going through. This leads her to the conclusion that she can give her daddy her legs so that he can walk normally again and return home. How cute is that! Aya, Hayato's wife, is also doing her best to support her husband. Instead of running away from this situation she remained strong and kept the family together. Beautiful. A family should stick together in sickness and in health.

I like movies that are based on true stories. It gives more meaning into the drama and knowing that it is based on a true story gets you are more emotionally involved in the story. For me, it makes me want to learn more about the people and the situation they were in.

Cast:
Hatakeyama Ayana is such a cute little girl. She also seems like she could be their daughter so it was a good choice casting her. Of course being that young, I wouldn't expect her to be an A listed actress. It took me a little while to get used to Matsumoto Jun. I am used to seeing him play silly roles especially since I will always see him as Domyouji Tsukasa. I am glad to see him differently now that he has taken on a more serious role like this. He still seems a bit young to me to be a father, even though he is 25 now. I don't know much about Karina but she was very good in her role. She was able to portray a very loving and supporting wife.

Music:
The music is typically instrumental. It was all very nice.

Overall I would rate this drama with a 4/5.
