My thoughts:
Story line:
I thought the story developed quite nicely. Most dramas that I watch usually have all problems solved at the very end and making the happy ending that we were all expecting. The problems in the drama that needed to be resolved in order to reach the happy ending were being solved throughout the series. This gave it the sense that both couples were overcoming the obstacles in their life in order to finally be together. Also, you get to see Itt mature in every episode and revert back to his childish ways in one instant. This was great to have the character keep its persona rather than completely changing him into a mature adult like Tun. Seeing him learn about love and the difference between what it means to love someone and being in love with them gave him that opportunity to be childish when it comes to wanting Chon at his side. Although, a part of me would have preferred Tun and Chon together. I guess it might be the idea of star crossed lovers since Chon's father is the prime suspect to Tun's fathers death. By the end, I was happy who they ended up with because you have the mature yet childish couple, and then on the other hand you have the couple that loves each other but is putting work first.
Cast:
This is the first lakorn that I have seen with these main actors. James was perfect for the role. His baby face made it easily convincing for him to play a childish character such as Itt. He is also the singer of the main theme song of the lakorn so that made me like him more. Punch was a good actress. She is able to play a childish girl in love and quickly transform into a strict and mature adult the next. At first, I didn't like her because I think her eyebrows need to be plucked more, they look too bushy for my liking. I know it's a shallow reason but I did grow accustomed to them. Beam was surprising to me. I only knew him from his work with his band D2B and then with Dan & Beam. I knew he was an actor as well but I never saw him in anything. At first, I just figured he would have been nice eye candy in the show. I did not think he would be a good actor since to me he is more of a singer. Glad I was wrong. He is very good at getting into the emotion of the character however at times I only see it in his eyes and not in the facial expression. As for Nichari, I am not a big fan. I think that she still needs to work more on her acting. Every emotion she portrayed seemed to have the same exact facial expression with a tear down her cheek on occasion. Every scene she was in I felt like the acting was mediocre for everyone. For someone who is an actress and playing the role of an actress could have been given to someone better.
The selection was very good. I liked all the songs. I especially went head over heels in love when Itt sang his little rendition of Ngom Nai by Bodyslam. I am a big fan of Bodyslam even though only a few songs have been translated into English on YouTube. So that pretty much did it for me lol. The theme song was good and they did insert it very wisely, in my opinion. The only one I did not like was when James sang the song in his guitar then they had a silent moment between Itt and Chon where they inserted the song again. I feel like the characters should have more dialogue in between before repeating the song.
Overall I would rate this drama with a 4/5.
